Something more about Love

Love is reckless; not reason.
Reason seeks a profit.
Love comes on strong,
consuming herself, unabashed.

Yet, in the midst of suffering,
Love proceeds like a millstone,
hard surfaced and straightforward.

Having died of self-interest,
she risks everything and asks for nothing.
love gambles away every gift God bestows.

Without cause God gave us Being;
without cause, give it back again

-----------------------------------------

An eye is meant to see things.
The soul is here for its own joy.
A head has one use: for loving a true lover.
Legs: to run after.

Love is for vanishing into the sky. The mind,
for learning what men have done and tried to do.
Mysteries are not to be solved. The eye goes blind
when it only wants to see why.

A lover is always accused of something.
But when he finds his love, whatever was lost
in the looking comes back completely changed.
On the way to Mecca, many dangers: thieves,
the blowing sand, only camel’s milk to drink.
Still each pilgrim kisses the black stone there
with pure longing, feeling in the surface
the taste of the lips he wants.

This talk is like stamping new coins. They pile up,
while the real work is done outside
by someone digging in the ground

One Sip of An Answer

All day I think about it,
then at night I say it.
Where did I come from, and
What am I supposed to be doing?

I have no idea.

My soul is from elsewhere,
I'm sure of that,
and I intend to end up there.

This drunkenness began in some other tavern.
When I get back around to that place,
I'll be completely sober. Meanwhile,
I'm like a bird from another continent,
sitting in this aviary.

The day is coming when I fly off,
but who is it now in my ear
who hears my voice?
Who says words with my mouth?
Who looks out with my eyes?

What is the soul?
I cannot stop asking.
If I could taste one sip of an answer,
I could break out of this prison for drunks.

I didn't come here of my own accord,
and I can't leave that way.
Whoever brought me here
will have to take me home.

Some Kiss We Want

There is some kiss we want with
our whole lives, the touch of

spirit on the body. Seawater
begs the pearl to break its shell.

And the lily, how passionately
it needs some wild darling! At

night, I open the window and ask
the moon to come in and press its

face against mine. Breathe into
me. Close the language-door and

open the love-window. The moon
won't use the door, only the window.

Mirror

The empty space in the frame
is that your face or mine?
i want to know
who is staring at the hollow
who is smiling back
who are you that can dissolve
in a tear
what do u fear that i will see
please sweet heart
close
these two eyes
meet me
and we shall be love

ghazal

read this line(from a ghazal) in one f my frndz blog & its jus beautiful~~

Saleeka hi nahi usko to mehsoos karne ka
jo kehta hai khuda hai to nazar aana zaroori hai....

Life

Stumbling along the road of life,
exploring new paths,yearning for those
long lost in the mists of time,
searching for a place called fame

Callused soles,tired feet,
scorching glare of the ego's Sun,
but still charting the paths ahead,
searching for a plane called success

Never stopping,never looking,
searching for a place called wealth.
A broken sign on the road reads
'Did you see the flowers on the roadside?'

Love- the best description ever!!

“Love is patient; love is kind
and envies no one.
Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude;
never selfish, not quick to take offense.
There is nothing love cannot face;
there is no limit to its faith,
its hope, and endurance.
In a world, there are three things
that last forever: faith, hope, and love;
But the greatest of them all is love.”

From:
The bible

Soulful Words!!

"We meditate on the transcendental glory of
the Deity Supreme,
who is inside the heart of the earth,
inside the life of the sky,
and inside the soul of the heaven.
May He stimulate and illumine our minds. "

- The Gayatri Mantra

From Delight we came into existence.
In Delight we grow.
At the end of our journey’s close,
Into Delight we retire.

Lead me from the unreal to the Real.
Lead me from darkness unto Light.
Lead me from death to Immortality. Truth alone triumphs.

Whatever takes form is false.
Only the formless endures.
When you understand
The truth of this teaching,
You will not be born again.
For God is infinite,
Within the body and without,
Like a mirror,
And the image in a mirror.
As the air is everywhere,

I become you, you become me.

I become the soul, you the heart.

How can they now claim I am apart, you are apart?

Amir Khusro

Repeating the name of the Beloved, I have become the Beloved myself.

Whom shall I call the Beloved now?

Bulleh Shah

O Allah! If I worship you for fear of Hell, burn me in Hell.

If I worship You in hope of Paradise, exclude me from Paradise.

But if I worship You for Your own sake, grudge me not Your everlasting Beauty.

Rabia al Basri

As fragrance abides in the flower
As reflection is within the mirror,
So does your Lord abide within you,
Why search for him without?
Guru Nanak Dev Ji

One cannot comprehend Him through reason, even if one reasoned for ages.
