By William A Ward-

Flatter me and i may not believe you,
Criticize me and i may not like you,
Ignore me and i may not forgive you,
Encourage me and i will not forget you.
Love me and i may be forced to love you.

Search

Where do you search me?
I am with you
Not in pilgrimage, nor in icons
Neither in solitudes
Not in temples, nor in mosques
Neither in Kaba nor in Kailash
I am with you o man
I am with you
Not in prayers, nor in meditation
Neither in fasting
Not in yogic exercises
Neither in renunciation
Neither in the vital force nor in the body
Not even in the ethereal space
Neither in the womb of Nature
Not in the breath of the breath
Seek earnestly and discover
In but a moment of search
Says Kabir, Listen with care
Where your faith is, I am there.

Kabir's Doha

First the pangs of separation
Next grows the thirst for Love
Says Kabir then only hope
The union to materialize

Destiny is here…!!

The loosing words, the fleeting time,
The beating hearts are silent now,
All I can listen is the voice of our souls,
Saying our destiny is here and now!

The words are loosing, the time is fleeting,
And beating hearts are silent now,
All that is heard, is the voice of our souls,
Saying our destiny is right here right now!

Heer-Ranjha

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Hun Main Aape Ranjha Hoyi
Saddho Mainu Dheedo Ranjha Heer Na Aakho Koi

Ranjha Main Wich, Main Ranjhe Wich Gair Khayal Na Koi
Main Nahin Ooh Aap Hai Apni Aap Kare Diljoyi

Jo Kujh Saade Andar Vasse Zaat Asadi Soyi
Jis De Naal Main Nyon Lagaya Ohe Jaisi Hoyi

Chitthi Chadar Laah Sutt Kuruye, Pahan Faqeeraan Di Loyi
Chitthi Chadar Daag Lagesi, Loyi Daag Na Koi

Takht Hazare Lai Chal Bulleya, Syaali Mile Na Dhoyi
Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Main Hun Aape Ranjha Hoyi

Ishq bulleh nu nachave

ishq bulle nu nachaave yaar taa nachna painda hai,
jado mil jaave deedar ta nachna painda hai
aaja yaar de deedar, sohne yaar de deedar

itt kharhakke dukkarh wajjey tatta hoya chulha
aawan fakir rajj rajj khaawan, te raazi hovey bullah
jado mil jandaa pyaar ta nachna painda hai
jado sahmney hovey yaar ta nachnaa painda hai
aaja yaar de deedaar......

ishq bulle de andar warhey, bhambharh andar machhaya
jhanjhar pairi paa ke bulla yaar de vehrhey nachhaya
jado mil jaave deedaar ta nachna painda hai

bulla bhulla peer vallo, jad dil wich ghairat aayi
kaisa dhang milan da karaan, jado hovey rusvaai
paa libaas tawaifa waala, pairi jhaanjhar paayi
kanjari baneya teri izzat na ghatdi ,nachh ke yaar manai
jad sahmane hovey yaar , taa nachana painda hai

maran kolo mainu rok na mulla, mainu maran da shauq mitavan de
kanjari baneya meri izzat na ghatdi, nach ke yaar manavan de

Main dhondta khuda ko

main dhondta khuda ko har masjid har mazar pe
main dhondta khuda ko har masjid har mazar pe
betha tu mere hi andar bus khojne vhan gya nahi
chal diya teri khoj me peeron or avtaroon ke yhan
lakin har peer har avtar mujko under khojne ko kahta rahaa
me kambhakt is baat se muh mod kar khud ko dhokha deta rha
fir bhi har peer har avtaar mujhko ander jhakne ko kahta rha

Rumi

"Reason is powerless in the expression of Love. Love alone is capable of revealing the truth of Love and being a Lover. The way of our prophets is the way of Truth. If you want to live, die in Love; die in Love if you want to remain alive." - Rumi

Love

This Love is the king,
yet a throne cannot be found.
It is the essence of the Koran
yet a verse cannot be found.
Any lover hit by the Hunter’s arrow
will bleed all over,
yet a wound cannot be found.

- Kabir -

O my Love! come to my house
My body is in intense pain
While all say I am your spouse
I have the very doubts
So long your heart isn't immersed in mine
What kind of love is that
I don't relish food neither do I sleep
I feel discontent in my own home
Passionate is my Love
Like the thirsty longs for water
Will someone do me a favor
And narrate my predicament to my beloved
Kabir is now in total distress
Without seeing the beloved, he is going to die

Rumi

My place is placeless,
My trace is traceless;
‘Tis neither body nor soul, for I belong
To the soul of the Beloved.
I have put duality away,
I have seen the two worlds are one;
One I seek, One I know, One I see,
One I call.
He is the first, He is the last.
He is the outward, He is the inward;
I am intoxicated with Love’s cup.

Rainer Maria Rilke

God speaks to each of us as he makes us,
then walks with us silently out of the night.
These are words we dimly hear:
You, sent out beyond your recall,
go to the limits of your longing.
Embody me.
Flare up like flame
and make big shadows I can move in.
Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror.
Just keep going. No feeling is final.
Don't let yourself lose me.
Nearby is the country they call life.
You will know it by its seriousness.
Give me your hand.

Shaikh Abu Saeed Abil Kheir

Drink from this heart now,
for all this loving it contains.
When you look for it again,
it will be dancing in the wind.

Rabia al-Adawiyya

In love, nothing exists between heart and heart.
Speech is born out of longing,
True description from the real taste.
The one who tastes, knows;
the one who explains, lies.
How can you describe the true form of Something
In whose presence you are blotted out?
And in whose being you still exist?
And who lives as a sign for your journey?

Farid ud Din Attar

Intoxicated by the Wine of Love.
From each a mystic silence Love demands.
What do all seek so earnestly? 'Tis Love.
What do they whisper to each other? Love.
Love is the subject of their inmost thoughts.
In Love no longer 'thou' and 'I' exist,
For Self has passed away in the Beloved.
Now will I draw aside the veil from Love,
And in the temple of mine inmost soul,
Behold the Friend; Incomparable Love.
He who would know the secret of both worlds,
Will find the secret of them both, is Love.

Autobiography of a Sufi---

........I heard a voice, 'alasto bir rabikum' (am I not your Lord?) and I suddenly had a consciousness of my being. It might be said that before this I was in the state of unconsciousness, even if I was there already. And in the reply I said, 'bala', (yes Thou Art); and I felt that there was an element of doubt in my voice. While yet in my mother`s womb I was feeling a gradually receding light; and than I felt as if I had a fall from above, with the light finally disappearing from my sight; leaving me the lap of a suffocating darkness. At this I cried and the women gathered around my mother cheerfully proclaimed, "Oh, its a boy," .............

Saint Theresa's Prayer

May today there be
peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you
are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you
have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.

May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let this
presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom
to sing, dance, praise and love.
It is there for each and
every one of us.

Some beautiful sayings-

"I searched for God and found only myself. I searched for myself and found only God".
Sufi Proverb

Khusro dariya prem ka, ulti va ki dhar,
Jo utra so dub gaya, jo duba so par.
----------------------------
Khusro! the river of love has a reverse flow
He who enters will drown, he who drowns will get across.

At each instance and from every direction, resounds the call of love! We are going to the sky, who all want to come with us?
Rumi

O waray shah

"O waray shah
Jinna nayana wich koyi pyar nahi
Uhna neera da ke karna
Jad Rajha he jogi hogiya
Ta teriyan heeran de ke karna
Khud Sehba nu jinhan ne maar ditta
Uhna veera da ke karna
Marde Mirjay de jo na kaam aaye
Uhna teera da ke karna"

baba bulleh shah

"you have read thousands of books
but you have never tried to read your own self
you rush in, into your Mandirs, into your Mosques
but you have never tried to enter your own heart
futile are all your battles with Satan
for you have never tried to fight your own desires"

I Have been Pierced by the Arrow of Love

"I have been pierced by the arrow of love,
what shall I do ?
I can neither live, nor can I die.
Listen ye to my ceaseless outpourings,
I have peace neither by night, nor by day.
I cannot do without my Beloved even for a moment.
I have been pierced by the arrow of love,
what shall I do ?
The fire of separation is unceasing !
Let someone take care of my love.
How can I be saved without seeing him?
I have been pierced by the arrow of love,
what shall I do ?"

Baba Bulleh Shah

My Eyes Pour Out Tears

"He left me, and himself he departed;
What fault was there in me ?
Neither at night nor in the day do I sleep in peace;
My eyes pour out tears !
Sharper than swords and spears are the arrows of love !
There is no one as cruel as love ;
This malady no physician can cure.
There is no peace, not for a moment,
So intense is the pain of separation !
O Bullah, if the Lord were to shower
His grace, My days would radically change !
He left me, and himself he departed.
What fault was there in me ?"

Baba Bulleh Shah

You Alone exist

"You alone exist; I do not, O Beloved!
You alone exist, I do not!
Like the shadow of a house in ruins,
I revolve in my own mind.
If I speak, you speak with me:
If I am silent, you are in my mind.
If I sleep, you sleep with me:
If I walk, you are along my path.
Oh Bulleh, the spouse has come to my house:
My life is a sacrifice unto Him.
You alone exist; I do not, O Beloved!"

Baba Bulleh Shah

The Triumph of the Soul

"Joy! Joy! I triumph! Now no more I know
Myself as simply me. I burn with love
Unto myself, and bury me in love.
The centre is within me and its wonder
Lies as a circle everywhere about me.
Joy! Joy! No mortal thought can fathom me.
I am the merchant and the pearl at once.
Lo, Time and Space lie crouching at my feet.
Joy! Joy! When I would reveal in a rapture.
I plunge into myself and all things know."

- Attar

Mystic Silence

"From each, Love demands a mystic silence.
What do all seek so earnestly? Tis Love.
Love is the subject of their inmost thoughts,
In Love no longer "Thou" and "I" exist,
For self has passed away in the Beloved.
Now will I draw aside the veil from Love,
And in the temple of mine inmost soul
Behold the Friend, Incomparable Love.
He who would know the secret of both worlds
Will find that the secret of them both is Love."

- Attar

Greetings!

I am new to blogging and stuff. Just had some random, whirling thoughts.
Wanted to put them down somewhere. Guess this is the ideal place.

I chose the title "mystic space" because apart from its dictionary meaning, it also symbolizes that there s an aura of mystery and even i m not sure what all things are going to appear on it over the time.
Not scary ones though...... :)

So, greetings to one & all!
c ya soon.....
